Infant Schedules
Please send a daily schedule of your child so we can follow their schedule from home as close as possible when they are at Little Angels. If you have any changes that you would like us to make day to day, please make a note of it on the back of your child’s daily diary and we will be happy to accommodate you.
Diapers & Potty Training
If your child wears diapers, please send a supply of disposable diapers, baby wipes, and whatever diaper cream or powder you prefer. We cannot use cloth diapers for sanitary reasons. You will be notified when your supply is low. Please label all packages. We will assist you in training your child if you request. During this time, we will need a number of extra pants and clothes included in the daily packs.
Toys
Toys are furnished for all children. For safety reasons, we generally do not allow children to bring toys from home. However, the children may bring a special teddy bear or blanket to sleep with.
Illness
At Little Angels School House, we are concerned about the health of each child. Illness is a difficult situation for all of us. We ask that you follow our policy to ensure the health and safety of each child. The following are procedures for communicable diseases and illness.
Illness at home: If a child is ill at home and will not be attending Little Angels, please call us to inform us. If a child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or has shown signs of pain at home, we as that you do not admit the child until the child is symptom free for 24 hours.
Illness at Little Angels: If a child shows signs of illness, we notify the parent. Whether a child MUST be picked up immediately depends on the severity of the illness or distress. The following are criteria for a child who MUST be picked up: A temperature of 101.5 or greater; contagious disease (chicken pox, conjunctivitis, etc.); sever nasal or chest congestion; diarrahea (occurring twice within 24 hours); vomiting; sever pain and discomfort; lethargy, ornary, not him/herself; yellow eyes or skin; or infected skin rashes.
Arrival and Departure
Upon arrival, all children shall be accompanied by an adult from the car into the School House and upon departure, from the School House to the car. Children will be released only to persons authorized by parents (they will be asked to provide picture ID). If you must send someone to pick up your child that is not on our approved list, we must be notified in writing, signed by an authorized parent, or your child will not be released to that person.
If a parent has a restraining order prohibiting the other parent from picking up the child, we require that a copy of the signed order be provided to us.
Very important – Transition time during drop off and pick up can be difficult. Please maintain a short routine with your child during those times to ensure an easier time for all involved.

Creative art, Language, Sensory experiences, Movement activities, Basic science, and Music. These activities are arranged in the monthly calendars that follow a variety of themes. Within the framework of these, we will work to set up a balanced program to help the child develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
Our major goal is to make learning fun and exciting while providing the love, security and care of a home environment. Little Angels School House gives your child a home away from home.

Absences and Tardiness
Please call Little Angels by 8:00 a.m. if it is necessary for you to arrive late or if your child will not be attending child care on that day. If you are taking the day off from work and will be bringing your child to child care, it is very important that you let us know how you can be reached in case of emergency.
Emergency
A “medical emergency treatment form” will be provided for your signature authorizing us to call for proper qualified medical assistance in the event of an emergency. In the case of such an emergency, we will immediately contact the hospital or rescue squad, the child’s doctor, and the parents, in that order.
Payment Schedule
Our rate is a year-round tuition rate which guarantees your child a full-time year-round slot. This rate is subject to change upon 30 days notice. Payment is weekly, one week in advance, for the upcoming week.
Sick Days / Vacation
Tuition is considered an annual tuition. If your child is sick or does not attend for another reason, full tuition payment is still required on the normal schedule payment day. This includes vacation time and days when we may have to close for serious weather.

Benefits of a Multi-Age Setting
With Children ranging from infants to 4 years old and older, are there any bonuses to combining these age groups?
Yes, and they are numerous.
1. Children can stay with the same caregiver for several years. This allows for a trusting relationship to grow. The caregiver will have a deep understanding of the child’s needs and strengths putting them in a better position to support the child in all areas of development.
2. Siblings can be together thus strengthening their family bond.
3. Children develop a sense of family with the other children in care. Typically, families are comprised of children varied in age. Through observation of the others in the group, children are exposed to a wide range of competencies that they may learn themselves in a natural way.
4. Caregivers do not expect all children to be in the same place at the same time developmentally.
5. Children are not labeled according to their ability. There is no fear of not moving forward to the next class. Children are given the time needed master skills and are encouraged to try new things in an environment set up for learning.
6. Older children have the opportunity to take on leadership roles within the group, initiating a game, song or activity. They are also wonderful helpers and mentors to the younger children.
7. Because of the various ages there is generally less competition and more cooperation within the group. A mixed-age group can help teach children to understand behaviors they themselves recently had. It can also help older children appreciate their own progress.
8. Younger children can participate in activities that are set up by the older children even if they are unable to initiate the activity themselves.
9. Young children, who are nurtured, comforted, and encouraged by older children will learn from them and be able to emulate them when they become older children in the group.
10. Self-esteem, independence and confidence will rise in older children as they are helping younger children accomplish tasks they cannot do on their own.
11. Children are not moved from caregiver to caregiver or room to room, thus decreasing the amount of time it takes for a child to feel comfortable in a group child care environment. This consistency gives children time to feel safe and secure with the caregiver, and allows for more time to learn, play and grow.
